Stephen

How fast do you want a Road Angel "fix" ?? I've decided that I want to slow down (Godspeed front brakes) rather than watch the gatso's go by !!

interested ??

BTW Cumbrian Scoobs where's the nearest BP Connect petrol station for 100 RON ?????? :) :) :)

Hi midlife

can't understand why Godspeed's can improve stopping. I agree they are bigger disks . But if u use the same pads and grips how can they stop you quicker ? (unless the contact between pad and disk improved)
yep less brake fade :) as heat lose heat quicker :) but stopping ??

Well intrested in your RA :)

steve

PS WHERE's nearst BP station :) .. Think there is one at junction ? The one before newcastle carlisle on the M6 :)

Not yet.

Still got my Scoob (till Thursday).

It's amazing how quiet they are as standard and how long they take to stop :o without Godspeeds!

Stephen

Godspeed kits come with bigger pads to increase area of pad contact, seem to think from my A level physics days that the further away from the centre of rotation of a spinning disk the easier it is to stop.

Are you going to the Sportsman's next wednesday ?? we could have a chat about the relative merits of RA against the £595 Godspeed brake kit

Cheers

One word answer to why bigger disks stop quicker-

Torque

Will try and explain on Wednesday. Better friction of uprated pads helps too.

Ahhh

See what you mean midlife ..only got a C in A level physics :( .. worked fecken hard for that to.
I see what you mean :) as far as Godspeed :) now.
Thanks 4 expl :)

Look forward to meet, I agree, u need great brakes to use RA .. As u have to stamp on grips if lazer warning kicks off :)

Stephen / Steve

Looks like I need advice on Stoppers :) :)

Not sure about Road Angel Laser alert...... Tanking down M6 North back home from Manchester on Wednesday evening I saw a Police van with a sliding door open on a small bridge over the M6 near Kendal...BIG sign saying "safety" on the side but open door pointing my way...Standard scooby brakes put to test and the usual sensation of right foot standing in a bowl or corn flakes with cold milk !! I guess the crunching feeling is the ABS

Nothing from the RA,.... either K band radar or pointing at the number plate !! NIP in thr post ?? :(

Blackspot do an extention lead to put the laser detector near the front number plate..tempted

Whatever, a bit dissed on the braking front :(

I'll be there too.

Hey Mike, any chance you could bring along your standard DV, wouldn't mind trying it in mine to see if it works.

I have a spare set of Whiteline rear drop links going. If anyone wants them bring £40 with them, otherwise they are going back to JW Racing for a refund.
