Hi I have just bought a knock link but I don't want to mount the box itself as it looks ugly I want to wire the current LEDs to a connector and then have a leed from this to an extra set of LEDs to be mounted in the cabin just ondering if it is this simple (can I cannect 2 leds to a cct that was ment for one ?) or do I need to take out the origomal leds or add resistors etc

any help apreciated

Thanks Alistair

I just removed the original led's, connected some flat cable (10 way from work) and re-connected the leds to the other end and mounted them in my a-pillar boost gauge mount. Much better than the horrid box. I also swapped the led's for clear ones from maplin electronics so they all look clear but still light up the correct colour. Mail me if you want a pic of it in place :)

I did it this way, sit's on the corner of the dash next to the windscreen. Was meaning to paint the box, but never got round to it.

Just un-soldered the LEDs and used some network/alarm cable (6 way at least)to connect it together

Alistair ,

BE WARNED ! (maybe you know already)

The knocklink chip switches the -ve side of the LEDs, so the common track on the PCB is actually +ve....

I pre-wired my leds in the A-pillar pod and have had to take it all apart (DOH!) I used 6 of the inner wires of a network CAT-5 cable, commoned the +ve's

I ordered everything from maplin, including a 5 DIN plug and socket, so I can disconnect the knocklink without a soldering iron if I need to...

Sorry about the size !

I've connected the Dawes up also, now running at 1bar, instead of 0.9....

I'll be writing a piece on my website as soon as I get time, as I had a few problemets with this that could be avoided if I'd known up-front....
