sounds a bit expensive, generally the scooby bonnets u get over here are 500-550 odd retail. Prob not worth doing a custom job, just importing from the us as they are available out there.

where are they for that kind of money???, the one I had made is hybrid carbon/kevlar ( black & yellow )

its insured and i paid £60 carriage on it. So long as you declare it for its genuine value its fully covered. All my stuff has come from the US and I havent had a problem. The quality is amazing out there and the prices low. Then you just pay carriage and vat on top which normally takes them to 500 ish.

I believe TSL sell carbon bonnets out of stock now. Kevlar is cool, one of the companies i buy from has started doing pure kevlar, not carbon kevlar mix in about 6 colours, looks wicked, really different :)

Yeah as Si said, they cost between £500 - £550. There are quite a few companies doing them now. I emailed 4 the other day.

I got my carbon bonnet, carbon scoop and 22b vents (in carbon) for £520 including delivery.

Ive been told carbon bonnets cost £400 to be made - so they are already making £100 - £150 a bonnet quite easily.

This includes carbon, kevlar, whatever

Actually to second what money said, one of my friends is looking at importing a bulk of scooby bonnets for me for a group buy, these would be the same style as mine but dirty cheap if we could get a big interest id say we would be looking at 150 quid of normal retail

Si,
Who do you use to bring your bonnet in from the US for that price??
Ive got to send a bonnet from the UK to Luxemburg and its going to cost me £160.00 in carriage, would be very interested to know.
Thanks for any help, Rob.

should be cheaper than that, luxembourg isnt far. Ring fedex and get a quote on sending it freight, if you dont send priority (next day) it should take a week and cost near to nothing

is that 500 with the scoops and little vents in carbon too

otherwise its a real pain to match the weave and find the parts, ideally you need them complete

Depends on the colour of the car i guess.

Red it looks nice.

But green, blue, silver i think it will look nasty. Not even sure to do it if you have black
