Crap builders that did our kitchen had no idea on how to lay a slate floor. Consequently we've got far too much grout washed over the tiles. Any suggestions on tools/potions for removing the excess grout before we reseal and polish the floor?

Cheers

I've just looked in the screwfix book, and they do a path cleaner which 'says' that it will remove algae, dirt, moss and concrete stains, have a look in your local diy store, they'll do something similar!

We had some very expensive slate flooring laid at work by a subbie. I'll have a look in their COSHH info on Monday if you can wait that long to see what they used to clean off the grout.

Thanks both. Already tried HG grout/cement cleaner. I think I need to wire brush it or similar... :(

The floor's been down for 2 years...

2 years ?? think I would try a floor sander , then just re~seal all of the floor, Sometimes Bleach and a wire brush , but 2 years on , good luck, alan.
