Same guy, same bike another wheelie!

Ali Scott 20 September 2003, 09:17 both seen before and both cool, still hate busas though..
Buckrogers 20 September 2003, 10:19 Hi Ali, at least you posted something!!
I was begining to think is it cr@p, good, boring, waste of time.....
I'm not a big fan of them either, but for straight line speed they are pretty quick. The accelaration after the front wheel comes down at 140, is awesome. You can see that the guy is then able to give it full throttle once the wheel has come down.
RICKSTER555 20 September 2003, 13:54 I'm not convinced that the speedo reading is genuine, it's off the clock before it revs out... :d
Buckrogers 20 September 2003, 18:27 The speed dial has a pin where the needle can go no further!
I think its real! It does have a Turbo bolted on it!
Mr Leigh 01 October 2003, 11:56 That has got to be bollox
Duck_Pond 01 October 2003, 12:57 Haven't watched the clips above (yet) but the DVD of Ghost Rider has him pulling a wheelie at about 200mph (apparently), and that's a turboed Hayabusa.
Having watched the rest of the "movie", I'd not be at all surprised if he has done it. He's insane. :D
Buckrogers 01 October 2003, 15:48 Mr Leigh, why do you think its bollox?
Standard Hayabusa is good for around 180 / 190mph.
Does it not seem possible, one with a turbo bolted on would do 220mph?
Andy486 01 October 2003, 16:03 Saw this on a bike site a while ago. I know nothing about these things but the opinion there was that the clip was faked.
Paul_H 01 October 2003, 16:30 Watch the speed at which the white lines on the road come towards you, particularly as he slows down & compare to speedo.....the junctions on the left don't seem to flash past either....
Buckrogers 01 October 2003, 17:02 Mmm, does seem iffy.
I stand corrected! :)
TRIGGER 01 October 2003, 17:09 That's exactly what I thought on seeing it - no way he is going that fast at the end - so speedo looks way off.
Bravo2zero_sps 01 October 2003, 17:26 Yep just watched it and looks far too slow in terms of the white lines, especially at the end when the speedo is reading 100mph yet the white lines are hardly disappearing as though he has come right down to about 30 mph or so. Looks like its a recalibrated speedo if you ask me, set to massively over read.
calgonis 04 October 2003, 21:31 Have to agree that its going no where near the speed shown. The turnings it passes should be a blur post 150Mph.
Id guess its doing 100 tops looking at the scenery.
RB5#111 05 October 2003, 16:18 Sorry for butting in but i beleive its real.
Have a look at: www.totalkaosperformance.com (http://www.totalkaosperformance.com) they can do a turbo conversion on a Busa, using a dual ball bearing turbo they can give you 430 BHP with 265 ib/ft of torque!!!!!!!!
Dyno graph nicked from above site:

Bravo2zero_sps 06 October 2003, 10:59 RB5 I don't think anyone doubts what is possible to achieve with a Busa but we just don't believe the one in the video is doing the speed that is indicated, quite simply the white lines are disappearing far too slowly.
TRIGGER 06 October 2003, 12:06 Exactly - I have seen other videos of a Turbo Busa going unbelievably quickly - and it looks like it too. So of course it is possible - it's just this one isnt.
Mr Leigh 06 October 2003, 12:23 Just what I ment :) It goes over 200mph like its going from 30 - 80! I do fully believe a Busa can do those top speeds after test riding a std one..
Mark in Ireland 08 October 2003, 19:58 FWIW, The busa speedo was fake...he was running a incorrect speedo sensor
