8:10 this morning 400 yds from work having just rode for 40 miles and the Police are standing in the middle of Bishopsgate in the City pulling bikers. I receieved a nice little ticket for having a race can, thankfully he let the plate and dark visor go, I think he realised it was rather sunny & bright this morning and let the visor go. Surely though, haven't they got anything else to do other than target bikes.....I know the Akrapovic is a race can but at least other road users can hear you and move out the way...they never used to move when the standard can was on......never mind £30 to the Police coffers is better than 3 points...

It's a frustration I know, but ultimately the Police deal with all things illegal. Bikes are an easy target, but alot are illegal. The noise from Race cans really irritate people. Us bikers see the benefit, but most people see them as a pain.
Of course there are better things the Police could be doing, but be realistic, nobody is going to be pleased hearing that they have had a 10 percent success rate because they spent all their time tackling almost impossible tasks. Pay up and look good I reckon.
