SlowBoy 13 September 2003, 22:19 More details on the above please, met.
Are you saying that you sold your scoob, bought a Clio Cup, then found out you missed the scoob so much that you bought it back off the guy you sold it to?
Classic. :)
met 14 September 2003, 12:10 errrrrrrm yes doctor that is correct what tablets can you give me to cure this madnes  bought my scoob a 2001 beauty with some tasty mods then found out missus was pregnant sold the scoob to reduce me outgoing's bought a 730 bmw(too big too slow) swapped it for POC's brothers moded wagon (very nice) but too pimp for a sensible father to be ;) then bought an e30 m3 thinking wont devalue & can use as a daily drive, it was so mint that i could bring myself to commute to the sataion & leave it, then upped the load & got the clio cup which is to all intents & purposes one of the best handling car i have driven, but i was kidding myself that i could use it a family car mmmmmmmm stripped out lightweight hothatch as a family car!!!! then saw that the guy that i sold my old scoob to graham on here was selling my old car again after doing some more top mods, so increased the loan further to buy it back, bad timing as in 9 weeks i'll be a dad & we've just bought a new house, which needs a hell of a lot of work doing too, i'll try & keep the car for as long as poss though! honest!!!!! this is the car now you see why i had to have it back :)

My car did not make it as it stopped working on the way:rolleyes:
Got it taken to the dealer and he says it DONT sound to bad :)
What time did you run?
POC 14 September 2003, 16:05  Met you are a nightmare!
The day was pretty much a washout, had a good drive up there but it seems playing on the roundabout/dual carriageways of MK took its tole on Andy's car :(
Got to the pod, signed on.....
First run I get put up against that 600bhp RWD White cossie turbo focus (hummm I think, gonna get dusted), my launch was ok, but the car felt flat........clutch slipping :( put in a pathetic 14.3, did one more run, clutch was slipping even worse so I knocked the racing on the head for the day and sat in the grandstand watching the others for a few hours.
Oh, and yes, the focus made me look like I was going backwards, he went on to run low 11s if i remember correctly, impressive car and a nice bloke to boot.
Back to the garage for me then!

midnight racer 14 September 2003, 17:02 poc yhm.
SlowBoy 14 September 2003, 20:52 Nice looking motor met and an interesting read. You do sound a bit mad though, If you don't mind me saying. Most people who go down the route of selling to save cash end up with a diesel golf, or something similar. But a BMW 7 series, another scoob and an e30 M3 - not exactly the obvious solution to your predicament! And a Clio Cup for a practical family car! It's in your blood mate, don't fight try and fight it.
Let this be a lesson to all of us. Save all the hassle, keep the scoob! Lol.
met 14 September 2003, 21:01 yep lesson learned all the hassle of swapping cars & insurances etc, there is only one car for me it would seem & it would have to be a subaru! poc whats going on with the car mate? i presume still the sti v, i remember you put in an expensive clutch not long ago?
