Bloomberg's list us as the best performing listed Football Club in the World (financially). 52,000+ home gates, huge merchandise sales, European Football (again) and sound financial management see to that. We're self generating in terms of funding. Even the Halls and CHD Ltd, who stuck money in during the early '90s, got it all back and the rest!

We haven't gambled on our future like Leeds Utd did.

There are still a lot of folk on Teesside who have bitter tastes in their mouths. I was lucky. I was warned and I didn't do any work for them. The guy I passed the job on to, lost £27,000... A lot of money today; a hell of a lot more in 1986.
