You have bought tickets for the Rheola stages 4 & 6, and the super special in Cardiff stage 7. Car park "H" at Rheola is located for the Walters Arena.......
Walters Arena is a man made part of the stage, including jumps and water splash. The cars can be seen for about a minute. My advice for this area is to get there as early as possible and get a place up the front as you can't see that much if you are further back.
The car park is located on the A4109 near Glyn-Neath.
As for the super special in Cardiff, don't know i have never done it.
As for any information sent out with your tickets...... well i have got mine and there is no info' whats so ever.

Don't want to sound as a smartass but I read that the programmes with all the info on roads ans stages don't get sent out till the end of October cos they have to add the driver's entry list!

I'm no fan of Walter's Arena. Far to artificial.

First, it's too narrow and jumps are too small for these powerful cars. So you see then only going 1-st 'n 2-nd gear. Even the Cardiff Superspecial is less artificial and there at least you can see the difference of power etc between the cars.
Secondly, you're far too far off the action. Better stay home and watch telly.

I advise to stand at the stretch just before the Arena. The cars come out of there and then go on full blast again. At least you get that real rally feel of a freak virtually driving over your town with a car louder than thunder and then covering you with mud on the exit... ahhh, THAT's why we go to the rally !

Walter's Arena wasn't exactly my highlight of last year either. We went along as it was new, but I would agree with kwispel, it is a bit artificial. However, as an introduction to rallying and a way of encouraging people to go who haven't been before then it is probably a worth while experience.

I was a bit surprised to find a huge hospitality facility in the middle of a 'forest' stage to say the least. The funniest part was the crowd reaction when the announcer said something like 'and a big hello to everyone in the Walter's hospitality area'... :)

Mike - yours is a great website - full of good info. Nothing wrong with that IMHO. I've got loads of photos from last year if you want some more.

Cheers

Walters arena,

the high lite was the drunken guys on top of the hill, launching rockets into the sky, hoping they would fall into the crowd.

However we did have trouble getting in even when we had event passes, but i will miss this one-if, even when it is difficult to see whats going on from the back.
