I've just visited the WhatCar website, and they are advertising
about 5 different insurance companies - so it look like they have definitely split from RSA. I'll be ringing around tomorrow. Barclaycard/LV here I come.....!

thanks for the advice

Been phoning round for quotes today... 4 out of 7 I tried refused to insure Impreza's (so called performance car specialists too!) another said ain't worth quoting if you've modified it (PPP) the other said.. got to refer it and then good old tesco's put the premium up from 782 (quoted on web site) to 1031  for the PPP!!!!

What's the world coming to.. my insurance looks like it will double this year especially as What car insurance were underwritten by royal and sun alliance have now fon to Liverpool Vitoria.. I'm awating my reneal notice to see how much it's up by

Give What car a ring NOW... they are sent 21 days before renewal second class... it's bettter to speak to l/v anyhow as speaking to them in person got an extra £100 off my renewal quote as RSA did not pass on the correct details!!!!... now paying £25 less than last year... result :D

tesco gave me the best quote

RSA are going to be putting there premiums up some what over the next 2-3 years. I work for them or should i say until march next year as we have been told that are jobs are going at leeds:( there is alot of cut backs and this will affect premiums across all of the sectors of RSA including household and motor.

Poss why Whatcar have changed cos they knew this was going to happen.

:D
