As we are all very much security minded with alarms, trackers etc etc.....I have a simple question that may or may not have been asked before........

.....how many people actually set the steering to lock before applying the disklok? If so, how do you achieve steering lock as I don't seem to be able to achieve lock.

Is there a special knack to it or is there no actual lock facility, I can't find any info in owners handbook.

I wait in anticipation to hear how stupid I am !

I had the same problem m8, I had to turn the wheel to almost full lock before the steering lock engaged

 

i used to have a my97, remember that on that the lock didnt come in until the wheel was 180 round, cant say ive noticed on my p1 and sti7
