Does anyone have a patterned imprinted concrete drive?
If so would you recommend it?
I quite like the idea of it but am slightly put off by tales of cowboy installers and the fact that if damaged it can't be repaired unless you pull the whole lot up.

There was a brand new one when we moved in in May,I like them, no weeds,no maintenance etc. The only complaint I have is that when they are new they are absoluteley feckin LETHAL when they are wet - I bounced out of the house one day ( trainers on ) and came a right cropper - gave myself 10/10 for the recoverey but nearley twisted my spine in the process

I think its the sealant they paint on that causes this, perhaps it releases oils when its new??, anyway its ok now, maybe the glaze has gone slightly, still need to be careful though when its been raining:

I looked into this for my driveway, I didn't like the way the firms, (all of them) seemed to do business, they quote one price, and then when you say no, they somehow seem y
to be able to do it cheaper, and then again, and again, in the end, I gave up, if they can do a good price just to get the job, why wasn't it that price to start with, They are robbing ba5tards.

I have a friend who had one done, and the guys that did it, dropped chewing gum on it when it was new, and left it there! and it didn't ever come off properly, he was not ammused, but they gave him some cash back, just to stop him making a fuss.

Cowboys!!!!

There may well be exceptions to the rule, but I never found them!!

Ron..

PS, we had red tarmac, takes ages to go hard, but looks good now!!

our neighbours have it, we have brick. in theory, if ours was cleaned up it would look better than theirs....but if you like to leave it alone the printed stuff is less work....find a GOOD REFERAL though....do NOT USE anyone that you have not seen the work of.

Cheers for the replies. I may get the sales guys round just for the fun of screwing the price to the floor!
