Event Passes- Does my recently ordered world rally pass cover me and passenger or just me.

Or doesn't it matter how many people you got in the car as long as there's a pass on the windscreen??

Please help/?

it says on the ticket part of this website that:-

The Official Programme, which is included in the price of the tickets, will be dispatched under separate cover from the middle of October onwards to allow for the inclusion of the official entry list.

Clio man,

I believe its per person- ouch!

ClioMan,

Hotchy is correct - you need a world rally pass per person or your passengers wont be able to get in, despite having a car sticker!

Paula,

Sounds like a good plan. Are you just going for the friday or for the whole rally (i can't find your original post)? At a guess it will probably take you around 2.5 hours to get to Cardiff from London (just 1 road though - the M4). Then if i remember correctly it another 1 to 1.5 hours from Cardiff to Brechfa (roads get more complicated here!). If you aren't going to the Superspecial then one idea is to go to Parc Ferme in Cardiff (behind City Hall and the Museum) to watch the cars arrive for the night, then head off up to Brechfa.

We're going to the Superspecial on the thursday night so will be heading strait up to Brechfa after it finishes. We'll probably visit Parc Ferme on the friday or saturday night.

Iwan,

we're in for the whole rally. i hadn't decided about superspecials or not- it gets mixed reviews in this forum, but i kinda hate to miss any part of this since we're coming such a long way. as long as we can get to brechfa, i guess we'll enjoy the superspecial or like you said parc ferme at least.
we're staying in the car thurs, b&b friday near llandovery, car saturday, back to london after the rally sunday or someplace fun in the rental car on the way back to london...maybe snowdonia??? sounds beautiful. or heck, why not scotland! if you have any more suggestions about what we should not miss- the service parks, parc ferme, etc. i would appreciate it- i was thinking we would just tool around and go to the service park when we could between stages. as long as we ended up near the next day's car park by night fall. thanks so much for entertaining my questions.

Agree with Sal, Snowdonia is well worth a visit, beautiful scenery on the way too.

thanks for the info. we're all about team subaru, so hoping to catch a glimpse of tommy and peter and the sti. good to know all of what you said. we'll try snowdonia and save scotland for another trip. started packing tonight, heard it's cold over there, even in london. we're still sweating here in san antonio, so i'm looking forward to the chills! this whole thing should be awesome. what's your take on the superspecial thursday pm? is it worth the crowd and shuttle bus hopping? still keeping my fingers crossed for the programs to get here b/f we leave. =D
Iwan, when you're back on, i may have some info on lucas for you.

Hi Paula,

Unfortunately I don't get chance to dip in here every day ;-)

I'd second that Scotland could be a bit ambitious for this trip, but Snowdonia is pretty feasible. It's amazing scenery up there but at that time of year will be getting pretty bleak (more so than South Wales). There is a small train that runs to the top of Snowdon taking tourists up/down, I'm not sure if it runs all year round though - maybe someone else knows?

It's not too cold here at the moment - i wore a t-shirt driving in to work this morning. But i was out at the outdoor store last night stocking up on thermals, fleeces, fuel for my stove etc. Can't wait now!

You mentioned you might have some info on Lucas? That's great, i'd be very interested to hear it!

Cheers,

Iwan

If you see three RallyNobbers(tm) kitted out from head to toe in Subaru gear waving a Subaru flag and carrying Subaru umbrellas then that'll be us :D

As for the superspecial I've never been to one, partly because I stay a long drive away from Cardiff and partly because it's never really interested me. However I'm sure if I was nearer I'd make the exception and go once just to confirm that I wasn't interested in it ;) I went to the superspecial at Rally Deutschland but wouldn't bother again but that was different in that it was tarmac and the cars went round separately. On the other hand a friend of mine who was also a superspecial sceptic really enjoyed his first one and now makes a point of going to them all. I guess that as you're coming all this way it would be a shame not to go :)

Iwan is right when he says it's not very cold here at the moment and last year it was positively warm but then we're all aclimatised to it so it'll probably feel freezing to you :D Bring lots of thin wicking layers and good breathable waterproofs and waterproof hiking boots, then if you get hot you can peel the layers off. The weather in this country is very, very changeable and you can go through all four seasons in a day up in the mountains

You lucky people with your tickets.
I,am being allowed to goto the rally but on something of a budget and a time scale.
My Fav stage is Resolfen and the car park i have been to year in year out is named car park L2 for 2003 SS14
Due to the way the tickets have been issued I can not buy a ticket at the stage and i can not spend the £75 to get an event pass just for that one stage.
If any you good people plan to miss that stage I like a possible opportunity to purschase that ticket ( I need 2 of them as I,am bringing down a rally virgin ).
If yop can help drop me a mail or reply to this thread
Many Thank,s
