Got mine just three days after placing the order which was a surprise!

I don't think the tickets are too expensive, I plumped for the Event Pass and that works out at £25 per day. Compared to other top motorsport events in the UK I think that's OK.

Definitely go to the service park, it's well worth the trip and I can guarantee you'll enjoy it, especially if you get there in time to see a WRC car get serviced. Tip: if you want a good view get a place at the barrier in front of your chosen teams service area about an hour before the car is due and don't move until the cars come in as services are very popular with the speccies. Depending on the driver you sometimes get an autograph opportunity too :) As far as the big teams go there is one big central arena for the spectators around which the teams are situated so you kind of hang out in the middle of them all although you're separated from their service areas by a barrier and the access road that the cars come in and out of, if you're at the front you can almost touch them as they come past :D

It's well worth having a stroll round the smaller teams too as they're more accessible and more likely to have a chat if they have the time or inclination :D There is also a big screen in the central service area showing the tv coverage of the rally and usually some handouts giving the days times etc. You'll also find plenty of official merchandise from all the top teams on sale too so take your credit card :D

Snowdonia is well worth a visit on your way back, it's a beautiful area. Scotland is gorgeous too but you'll spend hours & hours driving there and at least a whole day driving back to London on some very crowded and uninspiring roads (M1/A1 etc) :eek:

BTW we're staying just outside Llandovery too :D

Just got word that mine arrived with my cousin in Wales. Didn't want to risk having them sent all the way to the USA, 'cos it seems difficult enough for them to send them within the UK, hahaha! Got to cover my behind, so she's sending me a photocopy of the passes to make sure that they're correct.

Ordered last Wednesday, arrived on Saturday, 3 days, superb service, still it need to be after last years debacle.

Can't wait to go now, rooms are booked and we are ready to co.

mine arrived in less than a week, much better than recent years.

I can honestly say I have had the best turn around for tickets I have ever had. I went to the GP at Silverstone this year and had a real ball ache over the tickets (which I may point out were about 3 times the price of the rally tickets)

Well informed staff, helpful and with a fast turn around. Congrats to ticketweb.

My replacement tickets finally arrived and they were correct this time thank goodness !!

well....i got my tickets this year without a problem......thank god......last year was a pain queing outside Cardiff city hall......as for the pack i received...where was the spectator pack?.....or is that coming later??.......anyone know?.....cheers....tez..

Pack is comming out in October when the drivers entry's list is complete etc.

Most of the car parks are in the same places,just use last years info. Still got that big sticker in the window,The secure badge hanging on the mirror from service park and pass on the dashbored.

The joy of just using one mode of transport for the Rally.

Are yes!,got mine way back in August.Event 3, not much differance between them.
By the sounds of this there will be one hell of a party.I off to get some red bull now,because Ya wont get any sleep.I have just about finnised putting the Rally Tank back together.8 spots on the front,extra idiot stickers all round,tent racks on the back when it pee's down,spots on the rear,sump and steering guard and a toe rope.
Getting lots of aggro from her indoors,she gets sick of hearing about it-people we met on last year and the years before all start ringing now!

Just ordered my tickets online!!! Sod the event pass, too much like being herded around like cattle!

Bought day passes and individual stage passes - got better stages, and just as many as an event pass for £5 less!

Bring back the old ticketing system of being able to pick any stage I say!

Just recieved our event passes, 2 days after ordering them! (24th Sept.) Have to say, the ticketing is much better than last year, just hope the programmes arrive alrite! I think the laminated car park passes (in another thread are a great idea, just thinking about the mess that last years car park pass gave us makes me shudder.

also made up our own tickets, consisting of two day passes and a stage pass.......
just fancied differnet stages to last year....

Got my event pass yesterday!! V. excited now.

To give a choice of viewing spots I ordered a different event pass than my mate - so we can choose which sticker to use on a stage-by-stage basis when we get the more detailed maps. Gonna take scoobychick's advice and put them inside a clear polypocket thingy so they can be swapped over easily.

Question 1: It looks to me as if Halfway Car Park O would lead to the quarry area, and Car Park P is near to where you get that great view right across the valley (if it's not foggy) to the long long straight down the other side. Can anyone confirm this yet?

Question 2: Does anyone know what the viewing's like from Car Park J at Resolfen?

Got mine couple of days ago, even the postman was pleased, think he got sick of me accosting him every morning last year as I waited for tickets that never arrived! What a pain having to go to Cardiff to pick them up!

Can't wait to break the 'wellies' out, already started on list wellies, wets, fleece, fur hat, scarf, 2 pairs of gloves, thick socks, umbrella, etc, etc, etc, oh and best not to forget the beer! Just the usual for Rally GB weather, whats the betting that we will still need all the gear next year!

rally newbie here...i'm so happy i received our tickets correctly, but i'm wondering if i will indeed receive the programs before i leave for the UK on nov. 3rd. from texas...? anyone have a clue? or should i have the wrc folks hold them for me in cardiff?
also, wondering if anyone has an interest in meteorology and can predict the weather for wales that weekend?

i'll be very impressed with whomever can help me with either of these questions. thanks mucho!

I recieved my tickets within two days of booking, which was a quick shock. But one thing I didnt get were any programs which were supposed to accompany the tickets. On phoning Ticketmaster I was informed by their Customer Service Line that they were not responsible for the supply of the tickets only the booking.

Has anyone else not recieved their programs??

If the programme hasn't arrived then you should be able to get a spare one from the Rally HQ if you ask nicely. I seem to recall they were also handing them out at some stages last year as people went in, we ended up with 6 in our car of 2 people!?

Weather wise, i can 99% guarantee it'll be very cold and/or wet. If you plan for bad weather then you can only be pleasantly surprised! You can only really count on an accurate forecast 3-5 days ahead of the event.

Just a long shot, i noticed you come from San Antonio. Have you ever heard of a guy called Lucas Biddulph? He'd be mid 20's and I think he's in the US Air Force now, like i said probably a real long shot but it's someone i lost touch with years ago.
