As Last Ditch Racing makes final preparations on their car to compete in the Rallye Defi.-St. Agathe rally in Canada, they are also making other preparations-preparations of a much smaller kind.

Says driver/owner John Cassidy, "We're putting the finishing touches on what will be our inaugural International Last Ditch Racing Triple Caution Thong Award! The award will be a true Can-Am award, as the field will be comprised of both Canadian and US competitors."

From previous excursions into Canada, we know the Canadians have a penchant for dress that we in the US do not possess. I'm sure they'll appreciate the Thong in a way that few here in the states can or will.

One thing that the team is working on is a cohesive story to share should they be questioned by Canadian customs officials at the border. "Right now, we've agreed to relate that the thong is not really a skimpy undergarment, but a new form of warm weather touque. "Whether they'll buy the story or not remains to be seen," said Cassidy, "In any case, we're hoping we can avoid a strip-search, as there's no provision for one in the event movement plan!"

The Last Ditch Racing Triple Caution Thong will be awarded to the National team with the lowest seeded drive that finishes furthest up the in the results. "The award is all about doing a lot with a little, and the driver that takes the thong home will have done that at the Rallye Defi.-St. Agathe!"
