I fancy installing laminate flooring in the lounge, the very light colour. I have tried a couple of different types but they all seem to sound hollow when walked on.
Can anyone recommend a make that sounds solid and lasts ?

Can't remember the brand we used, but it was from B&Q. I think you'll find that the type of underlay you use will make all the difference.

When we got ours, there was three types - *really* thin foam (in a roll), quarter inch-ish foam (in a roll), and quite thick tiles for really uneven floors.

We went for the middle one, and all sounds OK.
