View Full Version : BBC News is saying Burns back to Subaru ChrisB 18 August 2003, 15:39 Only says 'at the end of this season and more soon' on the ticker at the moment. [Edited by ChrisB - 8/18/2003 3:40:08 PM] springbok 18 August 2003, 15:43 See swrt.com, tis true the ginger wingher is back in a Subaru. Hope it's big enough for him :D UKType 18 August 2003, 16:27 Just had a text through saying he has signed up on a 2 year deal as from January 2004 jazzyjeff 18 August 2003, 16:36 cofimed just had my text from wrc burnie back. jazz Crush 18 August 2003, 17:15 I guess we all knew it was likely to happen. But we just needed confirmation. Sorry to say it on here, but I don't believe that it's a good move for him. I think that the only way he's going to win in it, is if the Peugeots & Ford's retire. But, Does this mean that Harri gets to keep his seat at Peugeot? :D Harri is cool :D n one 18 August 2003, 18:14 Oh No drumsterphil 18 August 2003, 18:17 Oh Yes!;):D (Good to have Burnsie back IMO!) Huxley 18 August 2003, 18:23 O my god The whining ginger to$$er is coming back  Malacker images/smilies/mad.gif Huxley thecirsch 18 August 2003, 18:27 Hope Petter will kick his ar$e :D :D M J B 18 August 2003, 19:03 When did you last hear him moan? Cus after reading what u lot say on here i have watched all of the WRC and never heard him say anything out of order once. So IMHO you all sound daft. Sorry if im wrong here, but please quote richard if i am. BOB.T 18 August 2003, 19:06 Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooo It's not so much the whinging anymore just him being a tosser:rolleyes: BOB.T 18 August 2003, 19:08 oh and after Finland he was chuntering about being first on the road in OZ...oh and about Petter winding him up;) nigelward 18 August 2003, 19:58 Excellent news, a Subaru with a No. 1 on the drivers door again. Thank god they didn't get McWhinge. M J B 18 August 2003, 20:09 Go on Nigel :D Bob if you were a driver and were first would you say yeah ill go first and sweep the road for everyone? He was not moaning just saying he is at a dis-advantage... He will still be WRC 03 M J B 18 August 2003, 20:13 http://www.motorsport-coubique.de/img/Burns01_champion.jpg Winner :D stephen30 18 August 2003, 22:17 I knew he'd come crawling back. :D Going to make for an interesting season next year with the 3rd driver rule as well. I was hoping we'd get someone else, like the McRae brothers but that's not oging to happen. Steve :D BOB.T 18 August 2003, 22:41 I wouldn't volunteer to go first but if I was leading the championship I'd take it on the chin and get on with it, maybe do some testing to try and find a set up that does work! You won't change my opinion, I just don't like him, simple as:D SWRTWannabe 19 August 2003, 08:07 McRae at Subaru? Come off it, we all know he's going to Skoda :) Dull reliability is what seems to be working with the new points system, so if he can do it with SWRT then it has to be good for Subaru. Shame Tommi's retiring though, really good bloke and a name that will go down in rallying legend. It was amusing to Petter winding Burnsie up at the Finland rally - looks like he's taken a leaf out of Colins book :D:D drumsterphil 19 August 2003, 08:12 Don't understand where all you guys say he whinges comes from - RB just seems to tell it like it is, plain and simple. RB and Petter - strongest driver combo in WRC next year??? [Edited by drumsterphil - 8/19/2003 8:12:58 AM] n one 19 August 2003, 14:18 It`s painfull listening to Burnsie talk, makes me cringe. CLANDER 19 August 2003, 14:40 This news is also confirmed on the Autosport website. I think it's great news. He just tells it like it is and is one hell of a rally driver. Sad to see Makinen go, but he hasn't really done it with us has he? So if Burnsie comes to Subaru with 1 on his door, Petter gets two. I like the sound of a 1-2 for 2004, though I hope Petter grabs the number 1 by the end of the year. Shame it won't be won in Britian due to the rally GB being moved. Chris. |
