Why do you want to know where its fitted ??

They arent supposed to tell you where it is fitted

Besides, it is incredibly unlikely anyone on here is going to tell you publicly on an open forum where trackers are fitted

Not supposed to tell you where they are, but if you really really want then they can tell you if you want, but why do you wanna know, it aint that impressive to look at. And if you continually remove the trims where its "hidden" it tends to show the thieves where it is.

not a particularly wise move to tell the whole world you`ve just had a tracker fitted, if someone swipes yer car they`ll know to look for it now

Is Tracker realy any good?, i saw the police trying to locate some stolen cars on telly the other night, they had a hard time locating the car and it was stationary, they just followed directional arrows on some kind of lcd display didnt look very high tech, i would imagine finding a moving target would be very difficult..

And not all police cars are fitted with tracker detection devices, i was looking at the RAC 'trackstar' that looks better, as it uses satelite technology to track the car, anyone know much about these 2 systems??

I found mine by accident. Not at all impressed where it is.

It also requires someone liasing with RAC trackstar and then to the Police Officers, as opposed to Tracker where the officers can locate the car without the need for information to be passed from a third party.

Satelite technology may sound impressive but if the car is undercover and cant be seen by satelite how will you find it??

RAC Trackstar apparently uses both GSM & GPS

The GSM tells the monitoring station where the car is based on the GPS info. No GPS, no info for the GSM. Find the GSM tx and unplug it and the car could be in the wide open, but without GSM, the GPS cant tell anyone where it is.
