Has anyone had any problems with their clifford concept 600??

I had one fitted a month ago and the thing kept on going off in the early hours of the morning when I came out to the car the key fob wouldn't work and no lights were flashing (always on cold mornings).

I later found out that it wasn't the alarm but the siren which is why I couldn't turn it off. The dealer who I shall not name fitted another unit and siren and redone the ignition wires, the car was fine for 5 nights as it was warm evenings and asoon as the first cold night comes along the thing goes off again. I think it must be the temperture setting it off???

Has anybody else had problems like this?? Please help as this has annoyed me so much I am thinking of selling the scoob!!

Nope, mine has been fine for 2 years now.

Take it to a good clifford dealer and get it sorted out.

I have had problems with my concept 300.

The internal sensor sensitivity was set too high, I just adjusted it down until the false alarms stopped - still get the very occasional one when poeple walk past the car.

Also - if you leave a mobile phone on in the car it will set off the alarm sooner or later (woke me up three times one night before i realised what was triggering the alarm)

ive got a 600 on mine its good as gold....

its all own to the installer, if they bodged your instal then it could be false alarming. That or one of the modules such as the prox, glass break sensor etc may be falty and needs replacing.

The alarms are good as gold, just when **** companis install them thy act up.

Mine's a Concept 600, and it's fantastic. You just need a decent fitter. I'd recommend Max in Leeds (Maximum Impact), but it's a bit of a trek for you Mate....

I've had problems with 02/cellnet, the frequency bands are different to orange and a couple of the other networks.

The problem I have with my concept 600 is that sometimes I forget to enter the code for the blckjax when I open a door or start it, and it doesn't warn me, or cut the engine.

Does anyone know when the 5 chirps are meant to come on. If I forget, sometimes it can happen within 10 secs, sometimes it can take up to 2 minutes to warn me........and as I said, sometimes it doesn't even need it.

Think its time to take it back to be checked out.

As far as I'm aware, the blackjax chirps will only come on a set period after you press the brake pedal, and so long as the engine revs are below a pre-set limit.

Are you sure you have a 600 and not a 500? as there are problems with Pre MY01 JDM cars and the wireless immobiliser (loud electronics), this is the only difference btw ;)

Mark i,ve spoken to clifford tech this afternoon and i think we,ve
found the prob .
Certain curcuits on the new impreza shut down after aprox 12 hours to save the battery from going flat! If the alarm uses any of these wires for its supply it will cause the alarm to trigger !

The problem came about today again. I purposly didn't tap the code in and after 20 mins of driving it hadn't asked me.
Parked up the car, came back to go home again and this time within 20 secs of starting the car, I got the 5 chirps. I left it to see what happened and it shut the car down.

So it seems to work the majority of the time. Thing is, how can you take it back to the dealers and try and explain when its something that happens occasionally. Sods law says, it'll all work fine when I take it back
