My 3rd Wedding Anniversary :)

Ok, so I have left it about 8 months to post anything about this particular restaraunt.... why? Because I now like to visit somewhere more than once before passing judgement.

What was it like? Nice... no, actually gorgeous... this was probably our 6th visit. Whether evening or daytime the staff attention is impecible and the food delicious. Yes... to die for!

A decent wine list - fantastic coffee but my favourite has to be the starter that comprises fresh thick bread, garlic, olive oil, fresh chopped plum tomatoes and freshly rough chopped basil... god - I so love that.

Each time I have gone for the safe pizza option. Tonight, for my 3rd Wedding Anniversary I thought I would push the wind of change and chose the Fillet Peppered Steak. "How would you like that Madame" he asked... "Rare" I said...

It arrived.. covered in more whole peppercorns that you have seen and swimming in a rich taupe coloured sauce together with a separate side dish of locally selected vegetables.

The steak was around 1.5 inches high and filled half the plate. I took my first cut and the blood oooozed out perfectly. My Husand winced and turned his head.. I took him a slice and loaded it with sauce and made him try it. His reaction was good... "god! It melts in your mouth!"... exactly!!

So, if your in the vicinity of Ferndown - book a table and enjoy it. Me...? Well, here I am, totally spoiled with flowers :F

...btw - if you don't want the lillies to stain remove the orange pollen bits when they open, saves getting pollen all over whatever you've put them above and the flowers stay looking nice ;):) Oh - and wash your hands afterwards - that stuff never comes out! :D

Sad? Me? Yup ;):D
