Hi folks,

well i've had my car for 5 days (yep 5) and this morning i discovered that one of my neioghbours had ran their car along the side of mine, scraping the fornt bumper, front passenger wheel arch and rear bumper. To make it worse they never even left me a note and i know for a fact that i'll be seeing a car with some nice WR BLue paint streaks on it when i get home tonight.

Anyway, based on the fact that i'll never prove they hit my car i'll have to get it fixed myself.
Can anyone recommend a decent place in glasgow or the surrounding area that will be able to repair this damage, and for a decent price.

5 f**king days i've had the car, jesus christ. I could almost accept it if i'd been parked in a supermarket car park or something, but it was one of my neighbours that's hit me.

forkin barstewards...makes me mad.
..if you need any 'honners' then give me a shout.
Is there any of their paint on yours? I understand if you have a sample (of the paint!) there is a company available that will do some forensics (for a small fee) and can tell you make/model and probable year....should be on the net somewhere.
Might be a (small) blessing in disgiuse....you had mentioned you were going to get the sills painted, so it will save the sprayer cleaning out his gun.
If you get something sorted and prices whatever, give me a shout and he can do mine as well.

Cheers,
Col

no worries mate, i'll let you know what the script is.
There's not real trace of theior paint on my car and anything that was their was probably rubbed off by me trying to see how bad the damage is.

It's even more annoying 'cos i'll bet the motherf**ker is parked next to me again later.

Still, i suppose it could be worse.

Where abouts in Glasgow are you? I know of one scooby owner who has a body shop and may be able to help you out.

I had a couple roof tiles come off the house and dent/scratch the bonnet of my car. My front splitter also had scratches/chips on it so I got the lot done here:

Douglas Motors
The Garage/Johnson Dr, Cambuslang, G72 8JP

Its not actually Douglas motors its the spray shop next to it but they did a great job and £200 cheaper than Subaru!!!!!

My mate does plenty work on Subarus and he's in the south side...

Waverly Motors
10 Waverly Street
Glasgow
0141 636 1559

Ask for Jason, and tell him John told you to call.

Best price and immaculate work...

Check his work on my car (http://www.geocities.com/scooby_impreza_turbo)

He's painted my STI 5 spoiler, fog covers and folding mirrors.

And by the way, I sppreciate that you may have wiped your neighbours paint off of your car, but whats the script with his car?
Surely there must be damage to his?

I'd go down the cop shop if there is, sounds like enough "circumstancial" evidence to prove he hit it.

Good luck

might give my sister a phone for advice regarding calling the polis, seeing as she is one. If she reckons there's enough evidence to get a couple of coppers out to put the ****s up them then i'll go for it. To be honest the polis won;t care, but at least it'll let the punter know that i'm on to them.

Chris, where in west end do you live? Area only.

I work in the west end, so if you find sufficient evidence, you can come to me and I'll take your report! ;)

Negative Dougster, not me mate.

Chris,

If your car has been damaged and you are able to say who did it, by identifying damage on their vehicle consistent with a collision, and (hopefully) your paint on their car, then they can be reported for leaving the scene of an accident. More importantly from your point of view though, is that you'll be able to claim their insurance. :D

If you want any furtehr help, mail me. ;)

no joy spotting the scratch and scuff culprit as yet. I've got a fair idea who it was but couldn't see any obvious bits of my paint on their car in the quick look i had last night. I'll need to have a closer look later.
