Does anyone know whether or not this event is still happening?

Not seen anything for a couple of weeks with someone saying that the airfield had been closed being the last note! :(

Can't tell you anything about the event on the 16/17th August but I can tell you the airfield has not shut down! If it had, someone should have told me cos I'm running an event there in September. The venue was under threat a few years back but this seems to have eased back recently. My car club has been running events there since the sixties and we have had the airfield officially listed as historically used for motorsport. As such this should make it very difficult for anyone to stop motoring events taking place there for the foreseeable future :)

im sure its still on but i think its only on the sunday as all the ads just advertise the 17th

Are any of you showing your cars/ entering the run what ya brung?

I was going to have a go in my more or less Standard MY98 for a laugh but left my helmet at my parents house.

If you are new to Essex get yourself down the halfway house on thursday ( 14th ) and meet a few people! Its on the A127 2 minutes from the M25 heading towards Southend.

If you missed the half way hse meet, the Flat Four Impreza Club meet at the Dick Turpin (A127 toward southend) this thursday. would be a good chance to meet plenty of other scoob drivers.

We are going straight from work and everyone is driving so I doubt it will be a late night, what time do you hang around till?
