A few of us 'bikers' at work fancy having a go on somebody elses bike around a track - ideally Donnington.
Anybody know of any race/track schools that do this ?
Any recommendations ?

If its your 1st day out on a track, I would suggest a smaller track. I did Donington last year (GP circuit) and thought it was a lot to remember for a 1st day out. I did Mallory Park last week and It was much easier to remember (and half the length). From a bike point of view I'd go for Mallory or similar until I had a bit more track time as Donington is much more technical - read scary, and twice the price.

Cheers - I have done Cadwell before at a reasonable pace and know Donnington reasonably well, albeit from visiting it to watch really fast blokes !

I though the Ron Haslem school insists that you start on smaller bikes (commuter 500s) before letting you lose on 600s. Did any of you feel that the time on the 500s was less than worthwhile ?
Are you able to do the 500 followed by the 600 straight after ?

Also in the Noddy groups, everyones too chicken to push it very hard on their own bikes, you've got more chance of binning it on the way back from the day. You can get a day @ Mallory for £79 with Red Piranha Racing on 30th sept (im doing it) and if your not brave enough to risk your pride and joy, you can hire a bike through Lady Snoots for £150 all inclusive.

I did Ron Haslam Donnington straight on the 600's......

How many sessions (total track time) were you getting with The Ron Haslam School ?

3 track Session of about 30mins each.... Then classroom / pit talk inbetween.......
