Sounds familiar mate, my type R has to be garaged, and if it's at home there is a curfew after 10pm i.e. can't leave it on the driveway... :(

Which insurers have you tried so far.. ?

L&V are Liverpool & Victoria

I'm with www.elephant.co.uk (http://www.elephant.co.uk) on my P1 so similar spec car. They don't want garage or tracker for insurance, want a cat 1 alarm though.

L & V numbr I use to get through is 01202752007, even if it's not the right number they should be able to put you through.

L & V the BEST !!!!! cannot fault them , don't have a scoob but been with them 5+ years and NEVER any probs. They don't care about mods and unless you have loadsa points they don't care about them either !!!!

Good luck

Hi, Don't know if it helps but I've just bought my first Scoob, also a Type R (Sti4) and did a fair bit of phoning around for quotes (31yrs, FNCB, no convictions etc.) I don't keep mine garaged either - Osbornes came in best at less than £900 after some haggling but that does include a few minor mods and my missus to drive (and of course Cat1 & Tracker etc.) Also worthwhile were Tesco and A-Plan (for me anyway).
