Just had it confirmed: 2004 will see Spa back on the calendar, apparently up to at least 2010.

View Full Version : Newsflash: F1 back to Spa-Francorchamps EvilBevel 02 August 2003, 13:10 Just had it confirmed: 2004 will see Spa back on the calendar, apparently up to at least 2010. Scoobychick 02 August 2003, 14:27 YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS :D I'm there! Carlos The Jackel 03 August 2003, 00:28 LOL Its funny what a bit of Tobbaco advertising can achieve! ianmiller999 03 August 2003, 19:11 I find this situation quite humourous because by 2006 all tabacco advertisng must stop. Chris L 04 August 2003, 08:17 Good news :D Ian - not quite a simple as that. FIA have revised their wording to the F1 teams. Instead of a ban, they are recommending a reduction or removal of tobacco advertising at the teams discretion. FIA has also suggested it might take the EU to court over it plans to impose a blanket ban. If this doesn't succeed - you can kiss goodbye to most GPs in Europe. Chris ianmiller999 04 August 2003, 09:20 I do not think losing a lot of the european grand prixs is a bad thing- after all it is a world championship rather than a european championship. Nimbus 04 August 2003, 11:13 a reduction or removal of tobacco advertising at the teams discretion. So not removing any at all then.... |
