Just had it confirmed: 2004 will see Spa back on the calendar, apparently up to at least 2010.

I find this situation quite humourous because by 2006 all tabacco advertisng must stop.

Good news :D

Ian - not quite a simple as that. FIA have revised their wording to the F1 teams. Instead of a ban, they are recommending a reduction or removal of tobacco advertising at the teams discretion. FIA has also suggested it might take the EU to court over it plans to impose a blanket ban. If this doesn't succeed - you can kiss goodbye to most GPs in Europe.

I do not think losing a lot of the european grand prixs is a bad thing- after all it is a world championship rather than a european championship.
