I had a Zanussi for about 3 years which was quite happy even when moved between countries  - quite pretty too

Only ever needed de-fluffing once in a while.

(this was a combi-washer/dryer - just re-read the 1st post doh!)

I'm thinking about getting a condensor tumbler dryer and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good model and are they as good as they are made out to be (ie. no hose, no condensation, and be plugged in anywhere, etc, etc).

Thanks :)

Could never be ar5ed with hoses for tumble dryers either. Bough a Whirlpool AWZ650 about 6 months ago. As you say, plug it in anywhere (but I guess it would be a bit silly in the middle of the bedroom ... it doesn't vibrate that much ... :-) ).

All you have to do is empty the water catcher/container EVERY time you use it plus clear out the fluff from the filter. 30 sec. job. No condensation anywhere outside of the machine. Brill.

A mite more expensive than a *normal* one but well worth the extra. All IMHO of course ...

Dave

PS: it says in the instructions to empty the water container every couple of weeks or so. NO!!! Every time!!!

Had ours a year, a Whirlpool, not had any trouble. It happily sits under the stairs.
