Better mark August the 16th in your cruise diaries and get ready for a whole night of real hard core cruise action. We’ve listened to what you’ve wanted, and now we’re giving it to you, bigger and better than ever before. Imagine a cruise packed full of nice cars competing for first place in the show and shine. SPL sound offs pitting the loudest stereos together to win prizes. Drag racing, track racing, burnouts, donuts, all the action you can possibly imagine for the perfect night out!

This is a legal cruise and we’ve gone to extremes to make sure the police won’t hassle you. Legal convoys will be run to the main event, so check the list for your nearest points. If there isn’t a convoy near you then don’t worry, the cruise is going to be held at Donington Park starting at 6PM. We need to charge a little entry fee to cover some of our costs, so it’ll be £5 per car (not per person, just per car), so cram four mates in and that’s a pound each!

Some of the highlights for the evening,

Large lit tarmac arena

Donut and Burn out area

SPL Sound off challenge

Show and Shine

Competitions and prize giveaways

1/4 drag racing through the night (£20 unlimited runs!)

Your chance to blast around the famous Donington Park Race Track!(£25 for an hour)

Chance of magazine and site coverage

And lots more!

If anyone is interested in attending the morning or afternoon track sessions before the evening stuff, please could you contact Vicki on 01732 848884 A.S.A.P. as she is thinking of making a decision on whether or not to cancel the event TODAY due to lack of interest. I understand BRSCC are organising it (www.traxperience.co.uk)

Up for this one - wheres the list of convoys going up?
Presumably you need a helmet for the track events?
Can you hire them up at the track? (having trouble borrowing one!!)

So do we use the main entrance for the car parks or the Pits and Paddock entrance as per a track day?

So who else was there then?
I went up - lots of boy racers in their Nova's, Corsa's etc and they suit the Maxpower image so no prizes there !!
1/4 miles were fun tho' :-)

Was anyone else disappointed in the quarter mile set up. I got a 12.6 run which i know is a load of rubbish cos when i was last at santa pod i got a 14.2, and all ive done is changed the exhaust and filter so there timing was well FUBAR

Only joking Marx - honest !!
Only did the second session and got low 12's - I did hear several people moaning that they couldn't get anywhere near their first session timings and even heard one blame it on the light !!
Did you do both sessions and were timings comparable?
Marv

Marx Mcrae

Yeah i did both sessions.
I got 12.9 and 12.7 in the first session, and 12.6 in the seccond

Looks like its back to the drawing board then Marx - even allowing for an improvement as you got used to the run your timings appear comparable and you'd expect to improve slightly on the second set of runs.
Will just have to do Santa Pod sometime !!
You doing the run at the end of September up near York?
