Got good prices from Carole Nash and YIS but dont like their payment schemes especially as Carole Nash only let you pay over 4 months :(

Any other places people can recommend?

My current company who I am insured with on my Ninja wont even cover R1's

i just got insurance from...

www.motorcycledirect.co.uk (http://www.motorcycledirect.co.uk)

i found them to provide best quote for me, ( this is 2nd yr with them )
they also have a online quote avaiable.

like you having a R1 ...it was also hard and expensive for me too get insurance as my first bike was a ducati 998.. so i had to pay loadsss for insurance .. but renewal was loadss cheaper than last yr.

good luck with quotes.

Cheers for the suggestion but they were twice the price of YIS and Carole Nash

Think I might be hard pushed to beat the above 2 as they were both £600 fully comp and I'm 30 so thought it was a very good price from both for a brand new R1.

Was worth checking though as thats the whole point of me asking, you never know what a company might come up with :)

thats a good quote for a new R1.
probably struggling to lower it much with any other insurer.

i must have phoned 20-25 insurers and mcd was best for me.

im sure my next cheapest quote was Bennetts.

if ye find a cheaper quote email me name off company and i will get a quote from them next yr.

cheers.
