Long shot, but after an RGV 250 engine for a 1994 model.

Getting one rather cheap that the chain snapped on, it aparantly destroyed the workings of the gearbox and engine, and damaged the rear wheel slightly.

If an engine is a hard find it's going on Ebay with no reserve.

I *may* be able to help you here james, I know a lad who stripped his RGV for parts after a ring failure. He still had the motor though I think. I think it was fixed prior to stripping but can't be 100% sure. I'll try and get hold of him this weekend. He also had the calipers left over too fwiw.

The bike was L reg which puts it right within '94 doesn't it?
