K2 Gixxer 600, 03 plate..

First proper bike, test is in about 4 weeks time and I cant wait to get out riding it!!!

Anyone else with a gixxer, whats the general opinion on them? I did want an R6 but was advised against it by almost everyone..

Not much you can say about em really...... they are the Muttz Nuttz..

Nice bike mate ! I went for an R6 as I have all blue leathers etc and it looks the dogs b*llocks !
Only been passed my test a week and it is a big shock to the system after riding a 650cc supermoto !!! Wowzers !

I'm riding a CCM at the mo, it's the most fun i've had in a long time!

I sold my Scooby and got a GSXR-600 just after passing my test. Awesome bike, get some good safe miles under your belt in the dry and build your speed up.

I'm two years down the line now and on a K2 750. Was it worth moving up the CC? Not sure TBO. Faster, but no more enjoyable.

I like what you did with the number plate Darren. Any tips for a tidy Job? Thats my plan for the weekend :D

Did the same job to mine, 10 minute job that is...

Using the standard plate holes ( so u can always put the standard plate back on )mount your small plate. Mark the black plastic under the small plate and then use a junior hacksaw to cut back the plastic, tidy the edges of the cut with some sandpaper to smooth and tidy up... jobs a good un :D

M8 of mine just went from a zxr400 to one of these two days later went headfirst into a wall after some birds in the road caused a spill......

Ive got a Honda Fireblade, did a swap with a mate who has a Gixxer 6 on a ride out, great fun and you can get the best out of it on the road, ring its neck!!! but my blades got the grunt!

Had a K1 Gixxer 6 after passing my test and loved it. only problem was a faulty gearbox caused by letting Birdy ride it :D
Spent nearly the whole ride on one wheel and sheered a tooth off.

Awesome bike but had to give in to the call for more cc's in the end and bought a new blade
