Second is have you passed your test? Third is if so was it direct access or not? If below 17yrs 50cc is your limit, if 17+ then 125cc is max if you have not passed your test (but you do have to pass a CBT to ride on the road) If you have passed, then I would ask what are you using the bike for? commuting, fun, offroad, etc give us some idea and we can help!! J4CKO 12 July 2003, 23:26 I am going through it at the moment, I too am having to do this on a budget as I keep getting told by the wife how selfish I am, seeing as I earn the money and very rarely spend anything on myself I am not quite so sure of this fact. Get yourself booked on a CBT course (about 125 quid), book the theory test (18 quid) and then see if you like it, get a cheap 125 about 400/500 as learner bikes are always in demand but you can always sell it and get most of the cash back, then get your practical booked, simple really but you will need all the gear and I reckon if you buy new 1000 quid isnt that far off, buy second hand stuff otherwise (apart fom the helmet which you should always get new) Go for it ! |
