any ideas of a good setup for in-car dvd/mp3/cd/tv in my scooby

i dont really want lots of units around the car, so have been looking at the Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD (6.5inch screen/mp3/dvd player) all in one unit? anygood?

but would also like to watch dvd's/vcd's while playing mp3 cd's too, but not essential.

clarion 928 is top notch, recommend it. It's very good for add-ons as the main brain and all the conections are contained in a separate unit that sits in the boot, so no long rcas down the car needed, just 1 main cable to the hu

Got the alpine fitted the other week, I bought a 6 disc changer with mp3 compatability and have a seperate DVD player located in the boot, works well and where i've put them they hardly take up any space :)

For an all in one solution the Alpine IVAD900r is by the far the best bit of kit on the market and the price reflects it. The screen is made polysilcon and has 400% more pixels than any other screen on the market resulting in 3.5 times higher resolution.
The full retail from Alpine £2499
mcs-direct Price £1739.99

Wait for it.....£1499 yes thats right £1499 from Stateside Imports on 07796755658 ask for Chris.

Do you have to have anything else fitted to the car with the Pioneer 6500 to play DVD's / CD's & MP3's? Amps etc...

Has anyone had any problems with battery drain as several people recommended I have another battery in the boot to cope with an incar TV.

The quality of the screen of IVA D900R is a truly amazing - I saw it at Max power on the Alpine stand. If you bought an Import IVA D900, the spec is different - no RDS, different frequency on radio, No DAB control (It has control for XM sattelite radio)etc - and if somethings happens, I heard that Alpine UK could not guarantee repair, as they dont carry the spares.

Blue_Boy, no, its a all-in-one head unit, thinking anout getting one, might check out the spec of this Alpine unit though first.

Peccy - let me know what you end up with and send me some pics (it'll be 6 weeks before I'm getting the car, so plenty of time to look at what's out there).

Does anyone know about the battery scenario???
