Has anyone owned or driven one of these?

Thinking about getting a 98'-99' model for the missus.

Thanks
Mark

Engines sound horrible, better off stretching to a 320.

I drove a E320 about a year ago now, and thought the engine sounded v.nice. I just dont know to much about the 230.

Get a 320 - 200/230's are pants.

I had a 430 meself - nice cruiser but 11 MPG when tanking along.

I drive the birds 230K and think it is a nice car! WIth the auto (tip) box it is not the most responsive of cars, but it does shift and it very smooth with it too. It's also the ultimate lazy car for a sunny drive with the roof down

I think a few test drives are on the menu this weekend!

Thanks for the comments.

Thumbs down

I test drove a 320 and was very disappointed. Heavy, slow and noisy

I've been a passenger in a 230CLK and I was surprised how responsive it was. Mind you the one I was in had been 'tinkered' with so I am not entirely sure what they are like from stock.
