Has anybody had this kit fitted.

If so is it worth it? How close will it bring handling to the standard of the Sti8?

should be a lot better than an STI8,hardly any difference between standard 7 & 8s.

Much improved not to firm as to require a gum shield ;) Looks much better :D:D:D

As said in suspension Topics :D Whiteline ADj Rear Anti-roll bar, solid drop links, Anti lift and Geometry :cool: IMHO

The improvements of the STi 8 can be had on the 7 not by changing the springs but by either fitting the Whiteline Anti-Lift kit or uprated front suspension arm bushes. This coupled with a decent geometry setup will make quite a difference.

Then you just need the springs, rear uprated ARB, roll bar mounts, drop links and bushes ;);):D:D:D

What is the cost of these when compared to a Prodrive mod?

I asked my dealer about the Prodrive springs for the STI7. He told me he had spoken to Prodrive and they said they hadn't been released yet and would be another 6-8 weeks! I asked if he meant springs for the STI8 but he said no. Can anybody shed any light on this?

Yes - same problem - see the related thread!

They have been released, I and several others have them on our STi 7's!!!!!

I have heard that people are waiting for the next shipment of springs however as IM have probably run out (they only ordered something like 15 sets the 1st time round :rolleyes: )

Amazing and that is coming from me.
I am not easilly impressed but my car has been transformed to the way I feel it should always have been.
Worth the wait and worth using the proper gear!!!!

I thought that bump stops are there as a last measure and you should never be running up against them? Mike?

By how much do the Prodrive Springs drop the ride height on the STi7? I hear it is 25mm, what is the real drop? I wouldnt want to scrape on driveways, speed bumps, traffic circles etc.

b5, the springs you can buy (that I am talking about), drop the car by about 20mm or thereabouts so you have no issues with kerbs and speed bumps, just like the standard car!

Spoke to the dealer today.

Springs are available from SUK and are in stock - 48hrs delivery.

Price - £400 fitted. Dealer reckons 1hr labour per corner - I thought that was a bit high!

Any views?

I have just (well 3 hrs, 20 miles & supper out) picked up my Sti7 with PPP from the dealers now with Prodrive Springs & re-tracking. Fantastic improvement - slight understeer lurch into fast or tight slow bends is now a thing of the past - it just goes around flat and fast like a train on tracks! The PPP was a great improvement giving the car the real oomph it should have had from new - the new springs & geom. are also what it probably should have had.

However, this is a very, very worthwhile verging on the essential up-grade!

Wise decision Korky. Also would like to point out that I have F1 DSG3's on the standard Sti wheels. These even feel almost SO2 like now as per my old MY2000 turbo which used these sadly defunct tyres!
