I have Warped Front Discs (I think). What should I do?
I have a 97 turbo with the O/E discs, pads (2nd set) and 2-pot callipers. I checked the driver's side front brake last night and found that the inner pad has badly worn at the top end from left to right, caused by a warped disc I'm thinking. Didn't have time to check the other side. So what's the best course of action bearing in mind I'm thinking of selling in the next few months? And I guess just buying new pads is a waste of money? BTW I have 16" wheels at the moment and I'm always conscious of the fact that the standard disc/calliper set-up looks extremely naff as well as puny. Having said that and as much as I'd like a good looking Brembo set-up, money is definitely an issue. So your thoughts on the following would be appreciated.
1. Good quality but cheap upgrade. Recommendations?
2. is it worth going to 4-pots?
3. upgrade to standard Subaru discs off a later model (2nd hand from a breaker)?
4. Any other suggestions?
And how feasible is it to fit discs myself? I'm OK replacing pads and cleaning shims, callipers, etc. but need advice on how difficult or not it is to do it oneself.

Warped front disc's will give you a brake pedal bounce and steering wheel judder while breaking.
On most cars uneven brake wear is caused by.. sticking caliper sliders, sticking pistons or the pads sticking in the carrier.
When changing brake/steering/suspension components... use a qualified mechanic.
Hope this helps.
