Anybody got any leads on where to get a good deal on some decent tyres in Edinburgh or nearby, such as Toyo proxes, Goodyear F1's etc?

View Full Version : Good tyre deals in Edinburgh/around? m1cassels 27 June 2003, 14:37 Anybody got any leads on where to get a good deal on some decent tyres in Edinburgh or nearby, such as Toyo proxes, Goodyear F1's etc? kart_man 27 June 2003, 14:46 I've never had any luck buying locally, but my last 2 purchase have been : F1's from micheldever (website (http://www.micheldever.co.uk)) and S02's from blackcircles (website (http://www.blackcircles.co.uk)) Blackcircles also arrange for them to be fitted and included that in their price. With micheldever you need to arrancge your own fitting (£5-£10 per tyre usually). Might also be worth trying mytyres.net, although I've never tried them personally. HTH Dave Johnny50 27 June 2003, 14:59 Dave, Can you stil get S02's ??? I've been searching for them for ages..keep getting flogged off for S03's. :( kart_man 27 June 2003, 15:05 That was >6 months ago - possibly not anymore. Are the 03's not better anyway ?? ?:)? Johnny50 27 June 2003, 15:11 Depends on the car i suppose. I had 2's on the cossie and they were great, changed to 3's ,and it was all over the place, really wandered a lot. Probably find it's only weird sizes of 2's left. JohnS 27 June 2003, 15:12 You can still get S02s in 225/45x17, which is ideal for the new style STi :) SiPie 27 June 2003, 16:07 Are the 03's not better anyway On 16's they are pure dead crap  However, some peeps have found them to be good on 17"s and above :D Check here for in-depth review of crapness (http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=185855) :D m1cassels 27 June 2003, 16:10 Thanks Dave - have emailed them for a quote Anybody else tried locally or in the central belt? |
