Hi

On my remote central locking, when I press the button, all the doors unlock, however on my old (well MY00) Golf Gti Turbo, when you press the button only the drivers door unlocks, if you press it twice then all doors unlocked

Is there any way this can be done on a Scoob (Mine is a EU MY00, with Toad Alarm) as the other night when I 'unlocked' the car, as i went to get in, a drunken yob opened my passenger door, and tried to get in , thankfully only wanting a lift, however after telling him politly NO (as he was with 6 of his mates), his parting comments where 'Im gonna nick it anyway'

I cant avoid the area, as this happened at the top of my street

So I would like this Golf feature on my car, so it dont happen again :)

Cheers

Steve

That tends to be a feature of the car itself, rather than the alarm. The driver's lock is wired separately and the alarm pulses that one first. Fords have been fitted with the system for a good few years now, and it can be programmed to work like normal central locking as well.

I doubt your alarm will have a feature to control this as standard, one way of doing it would be to disconnect the driver's door unlock motor from the rest, and have only the driver's one pulsed when the alarm is unlocked. You could then use an accessory output to open the others with a different button, and switch on the interlock so the button can't be accidentally pressed while the alarm is active (assuming the toad has this feature).

You should then be able to leave the lock wiring set up as normal and it will lock all the doors when arming the system.

PITA to do but it should work!
