Wicked:D
I want to build a BBQ in our garden but finding the time is difficult. Time and the effort :D
Was it a kit job or a home creation? Have you used it yet?

Took me about 3 days in total
the only kit was the barbque bits, ie. bricket base and the mesh for putting the food on, cost £15 ish from homebase.
lined the chamber with firebricks.
Used it loads and well pleased:D
Thanks for not taking the pi$$ out of the size of pic's like everyone else does:D:D:D:D:D:D

Call those pics? Muahahahahahahahahahahaha!:D:
Seriously, guy, it looks pretty good.
I have one of those cast concrete thingies that you can buy in French supermarkets. Similar design to yours, but with an extra bit at the side for food prep etc.
Took me 3 days to build a base, install it, (it cements together), and paint it with sand/cement mix, then two coats of outdoor masonry paint.
Over there, the supermarkets sell the grilles, airboxes etc dirt cheap in LOADS of different sizes.
Mine cost me about £180 all in. How about yours?

Take a large trailer, or a van, mate. End of season, (september) sees 'em knocked out for half price, but you may have to travel inland a little way to find one: the ones near the channel ports will be sold out quick.
They weigh LOADS, so take a mate/the Mrs to help load it!
Why not go on an overnighter to, say, Arras, about 60 miles in , with a good range of supermarkets near it, including the largest "Auchan" in France at Noyelles-Godault? Hotel Campanile at Arras, dead easy to find, £27 the night for two, plus evening meals at £6-10, all you can eat!

Alcazar, sounds like a bloody good plan. Cheers for the info :D
First thing we have to do is get our garden cleared back, it is like a bloody forest as the last owner was bed ridden for 2 years, the garden did not get touched in 2 years
