just thought someone might want to know...if your thinking about upgrading your speakers don't go for anything but focal's! heard them in a 911 and just had to get them. i actually took my sub out of the car as i felt there was enough bass in the speakers. crystal clear they are!

Not "direct" in so far that you'll have to make a collar to make 'em fit, but the Focal Access range are without doubt the least bulky around the magnet and therefore the easiest to fit.

Others in the range may well require a dedicated door build to fit, unfortunately.

Nick.

Great speakers, but do listen first, as they can be a tad tiring...:)

Hi,
What do you mean by "they can be a tad tiring" ? I've been recommended the polyglass speakers on a similar thread ("Which Speakers- Budget £100-£200"). The problem is finding somewhere that has them rigged up to listen to!

thanks

Chris

when the Focals are installed first they may sound a little "tinn-ey" but this is down to them needing to bed in a bit, so a few hours hard driving and they tone themselves down and sound wicked

Focals are on the brighter side of neutral, depending on your definition and ears. This isn't a bad thing and might be just what you want.

They are very good, but it really is down to personal preference. There is no one "ultimate" speaker, it's down to your taste.

Saying that, you can't go far wrong with the set, but if you've got time get to a soundoff and hear some sets in cars to see what you like for yourself :)

Cheers,
Nick.
