Bought a new battery for my gsx600 last year, put the bike away for the winter got it out a few weeks ago and tha battery is dead. Did the usual charge it up but still no life in it. I contact the bike shop where I got the battery from who informed me that the warranty was invalidated as I hadn't maintained the battery over the winter. Is this right personally find it a load of bo55oxs..
Cheers

You need an Optimate battery conditioner. Designed specifically to maintain bike batteries at all times. As I found out, if you let them go flat and recharge them with a regular battery charger it will fvck them completely :( Optimates are about 50 squids, though I noticed that M&P have them on offer ATM for 44.98

Technically they are right - it's a little like invalidating your warranty on your car by never getting it serviced!
Batteries die if they are not kept fully charged!

Cheers for the advice, decided to chnage the bike instead :D
