Question

I have quite an old Cobra alarm that was in the car when I bought it, and I intend to replace it shortly but in the meantime I'm stuck with an ultrasonic alarm which goes off if the windows are down even a bit.

As you can imagine this is a PITA in the really hot weather, much prefer microwave sensors which don't have this problem.

Is it possible to use some button sequence to switch the ultrasonics off when arming as a one-off? I know you can do this with the interior sensors on Cliffords so hopefully this has something the same. It has the two-button waterproof remote with one button slightly bigger than the other.

Cheers.

ive got a cobra alarm and yes u can deactivate the utra sonics if u press the arm button and then press the smaller button next to it it should beep again switching off the utrasonics however it will reset once the alarm is off and switced on again

or just stick some tape over the sensors very easy and effective

Cheers mate will give it a shot. Want to keep the ultrasonics on most of the time cos the shock sensor's crap, have to hit it with a nuclear weapon to trigger that! So the tape ain't an option... but a Clifford is on the way shortly
