You are right about this but only for gen 1 and 2 DMS, last generation hasn'T such problems according to our friends in NASIOC.

Just informed that Bilstein has recently changed their PSS9 suspension for the Impreza and has recalibrated rear shocks, valve settings etc (as H&R did that is also directly connected company with Bilstein).
The new suspension has resolve all previous problems according to Bilstein and is completely redesigned.
The dealer told me that the price is the same as before.

I can confirm on that. I bought the PSS9 kit recently. Had it fitted by Powerstation and they said the shocks (front and rear) are different to the originals they were supplied for testing. Even the mounting parts are different.

I love the kit...makes the car handle like furk. Slow speed damping (that's almost crawling speed) not perfect at any setting though, but by no means is it bad enough to make me want to buy another make.

Just fitted KW variant3. Rides like a standard car. However, put it under load and it all comes together very nicely, barely any roll, turn in is incredibly sharp and any trace of understeer has disappeared.

Having read up on all the different makes before buying, I came to the conclusion that the KWs were the best bet performance/£ and appeared to have the best adjustment.

Oh, was previously on Ledas, and these are far, far superior in terms of performance. The Ledas (tarmac rally valving) were quite "agricultural" in their performance, the KWs seem very very smooth in comparison.

On mine I asked for them to make them with linear springs (downside is that they feel a bit over sprung when not dynamically loaded) and set them up for the Ring. Their motorsport division have done just that, based on their vast experience there.

Over all I'd say they were the best suspension kit I have ever had and they seem very robust and well made. Even tried their test on the strut piston (clamp at both ends, secure a set of mole grips to piston rod, hit mole grips with lump hammer) as they reckon it won't mark. They were right

I'm sure the PSS9 kit comes with Linear springs too...they also have small helper springs to take up the slack when no or little load and dumps. Coilovers do make slightly more noise then std gear wouldn't you say? I'm 100% happy with mine.

Had the tracking done by Powerstation with uprated ARB's...no body roll at all...just grips and grips.

Have you ever test drive a car with DMS 40mm Gold?
I could say they are better than standard suspension regarding comfort while they are perfect for fast road use, at least for our bumpy roads where every suspension examined very hard.
