Just invested in a snooper s6-r neo, and want to hard wire it into a MY02 5door. Was thinking of tapping into the power and earth leads that feed the stero, would i be right in doing this?

Or should i take the power and eatrh from else where?

 

i've got my origin blue i and snooper s5 tapped into the power and earth feeds for the stereo n it works fine no problems!!

 

Yes you could take it from the back of the radio. I hard wired my Bell 550 into the map lights on my MY02. Spliced into the wiring and added an addition in line fuse (anti surge type). Removed the bulb and hey presto enables the detector to be turned on and off at will and minimum cable runs!

Thanks for the advice! What colour is the ignition live to the stero, as i dont want the snooper to be on when im not in the car!

 

Sorry don't know off hand what colour the ignition live to the radio is as I've no longer got my scooby due to a skip driver hitting the side of it and killing it!
I will try and look this weekends on the missus sport if she will let me start pulling out the radio etc
PS try posing a note in the ICE section (or do a search) asking which is the switched live on a standard (i'm guessing here) radio
