Hi everyone, whilst the BBS was down i got bored so bought a westfield ZEi 220 (escort cosworth turbo 275BHP).

I have just driven it for the first time in the dry and oh my god, what an animal.

It is without doubt the fastest car i have ever been in on the road, and those who know me know the kit i have run.

I am at donninton tomorow if any of you guys fancy a run in a quite stageringly fast little car.

hope to see some of you there

it is 371BHP/ton at the moment, i am looking into upping the power to 330BHP (445BHP/ton) but i need to upgrade the fuel pump system first to provive at least 2.5litres/min.

your standard scoob turbo is approx 170BHP/ton.

John,
shouldn't you have a pilots licence for that or something

I did a rally course a while back and the instructor had the same vehicle.

He said he didn't dare take it out in the wet, and he got through rear tyre every 3000 miles. Sweet.

John,

How much did it set you back if I may ask?

I had the pleasure of experiencing said Beast at Donno with John. In the wet!

"Good lord!" I cried, (or rather "procreate me!)as we span in all the gears accelerating hard out of the pit lane!

Many thanks John. Can't wait to be taken out in the dry!

Cheers,

Jon.

well the fuel system and rear of the car is in bits. It has an escort cosworth in tank fuel pump fitted, which quite frankly is pants. (to save money they knicked it off the 1.6 escort!).

It flows just 1.4litre/min which is not enough for my 275BHP on track, never mind 330BHP.

The plan is to fit a 3.25litre/min uprated pump and make my own baffle arangement in the tank to stop any possible surge at low tank levels. That should be good for over 400BHP if i get bored with 330

I hope to get the pump and tank sorted tomorow, once that is done and i have retested the flow rates from the return of the fuel rail pressure regulator at 3.5 bar and it all checks out a 330BHP conversion will be in the post

The car cost me £12,500. It will cost me about £650 to do all the work needed for the 330BHP including the new fuel pump. So a car that would destroy a McLaren F1 GTR to 120MPH and will top over 150MPH easily for £13,000. Works for me.

PS I do have a pilots licence (well in gliders anyway)

Mossman, i only got full throttle once and that was between Mclanes and Coppice in 3rd, you seemed to go rather quiet for a second?

Smegging heck John, I think a number of us will be selling Scooby's and going for one like that.

I'd give my driving license about 4 days..
