This sucks! The Celtic fans are annoying enough when they win but rangers fans just drive me nuts!! Nevertheless, I suppose Celtic feel how hearts did when they piped us for the league in 86 and then we blew the cup a week later!! Sucks huh!!

i remember throughout the late 80s/early 90s the gers winning title after title..
and paddy bonner et al were very flakey
i can picture blue n white ibrox and souness and ally lapping it up

made me laugh at the thought.. coz when i picture celtic winning things i dont get the same image.. probably coz they didnt win as much when i was growing up.

LMAO Few things make me angry! Calling me that is one of them [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]. Nothing annoys me more than the pathetic (Yes, absolutely PATHETIC) fighting between Celtic and Rangers over religon. In fact, its the very reason I HATE Glasgow because its so previlent (sp?) in the city. I've lived in Dundee, it sucked, but at least you could walk into a pub wearing pretty much any footy top you wanted without getting stabbed.

Do you know why I hate Rangers. Two reasons: When my brother was just 10 years old he was at a game were Hearts took a point (not a win) off Rangers during their 1990's peak. A weedy hearts fan was walking down the street scarf held high and two massive Rangers fans got off a gers bus and beat him stupid for 5 mins in broad daylight in front of familys and children. There is no doubt in my brothers mind that he would have died or been very critically ill. That in its self may happen with any supporters but the fact the two fans got back on the bus and took their seats without a word been spoken defies belief [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

2. I met a 'true blue' so to speak at on old work place. This guy was a season ticket holder at Ibrox and he once claimed to me that he could 'smell a catholic' (this wasn't the word he used ) After arguing with him for 10 mins he still maintain his position that he could smell them [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] If you ask me the pathetic little war between your two clubs is absolutely disgraceful and worse than racism. I think I speak for the majority of Scotland when I tell you it isn't going to be tollerated any further.

I'm not even that bothered about football, in fact, I know the two old firm results from today but as yet don't know the Hearts score! The day Celtic and Rangers fans lay down their pathetic religous arguments and enjoy the merits of the 'sport' will be the greatest day in Scottish football.

The best bit is you have the cheek, the absolute cheek to call me imature At least I recognise that football is a sport for the enjoyment of those that play and support it and not some excuse to fight for any reason.

Also, most of the rangers fans I have met are d1cks!! I'm not joking!! My uncles a gers fan and he's cool. I watched rangers win the league today in the gym with one of the instructors who was clearly a rangers fan and he seemed nice. But, there are a lot of others that don't support the team, they clearly support the 'cause' Sad, so very very sad

And yes i do know a lot of really nice genuine folk from the Weegievil

The Celtic lot are a totally differant kettle of fish. Never i mean never do we at Pittodrie every get a fration of the hassle that the blue lot bring

It's not just in Glasgow that Sectarianism resides. Don't forget that Hibs was founded to give the Catholic Young Mens Society something to do and Hearts has been their so-called 'protestant' rivals in the city ever since.

OK, it may not appear as bad as the West, but I've experienced just as much sectariansim in the East

IMHO, the problem will never go away until we stop segragating schools.

I hear what you say but then after what you have been throught why don't you not just leave things to lie.

I do agree with you on the Glasgow side of thing's as i have been there myself, i was verbally attact for wearing my colours in the town in a shop.

But you just tar us all with the same stick, i know a lot of celtic fan's and get on great with them a lot of good old fashioned banter the way it should be, but you don't learn after calling me a dick with out even knowing me you then turn round in your last reply and say that i use it for an excuss to fight, if only you knew how far from the truth that is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is why i still agree with what i posted before you seem to have a big chip on your shoulder's if there is a rangers fan about and i feel that is a very sad attitude to take.Hopefully one day you can come to term's with the way you feel

Craig Hi i am not getting into a slagging match hear what so ever, i hardley ever go to any game's but i do know of the trouble's that occur during the the game's with Aberdeen and Rangers, from what i can remember it all started from when Neil Cooper had that auffull challenge on Ian Durrant, i also heard of some of the thing's that were supposadly being sent to and put in the paper's from the Aberdeen fan's regard's Ian, other than that i think every team or fan's will always hate each other.That's football. And as for the religion side of thing's that has never been a fact with me
