Ditto what Jack said, none of the stages I went to felt any different to previous years, I didn't see any 'pens' as such, just huge areas marked off where it was safe to spectate from.

Are they doing the same sales on tickets as last year i.e 3 day passes or single day?

Are the prices still extortionate for the experience of being herded into compounds with 10000's of others?

>>the experience of being herded into compounds with 10000's of others?<<

Only places I felt a bit like that were Walters Arena and Cardiff SS, but they served a purpose. Most stages felt no different to any other year. If you act like a sheep you'll end up in a pen.

Agree with above comments, just avoid the spectator specials, Walters arena was awfull :( but if you walked further into the stage it was pukka rally spectating :)

As Jack said don't be a sheep, find your own space, as long as you are in a safe place marshalls won't have an issue with you not being in a "pen" :)

I've been lucky enough to have the Cyprus rally on my door step. In the UK most of my involvement was under the cars. So I enjoyed the 'end product'. We did have to pay CPY£1 to enter stages/service, which went to local villages etc. How much is it to see UK stages? I'm booked on a course near Stafford in November and was hoping to see the super special in Cardiff, but you guys have put me off! and it's the only day I can get to see it before I fly back. Please tell me it will be worth it.

i just returned from Cyprus, brilliant event for spectating on.

If the super special is the only oportunity you have, i think you will be disapointed, it has been pretty aweful so far in terms of action, views and access.

If you can, go see some stages but not margam park, that has very poor viewing for spectators with you a long distance from the cars and not real rallyGB roads. Yes you can see the cars, but they are boring to watch there. Try and do some of the forest stages if you can. You will have to buy a pass to get in to the stages and car parks.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try and work a forest stage in some how. I'm glad you enjoyed Cyprus.
