do the 4 and 5 door classic impreza share the same tail light unit?
I want to put the sti type rear lights on my MY97 wagon
will 4 door lights fit?

they look the same, but IIRC they are slightly different fitments. Certainly the 3rd-party (lexus lights) replacements have been different between the saloon and wagons.

Yep, wagon and saloon lights are different sizes and unfortunately are rather difficult to track down second hand

Brand new units cost in the region of between £350 and £370
