Hey all,

One of my sidelights has blown, but I can't find out where the bulb goes, can anybody help ?

Inside the light, where else??:

Seriousy, open bonnet, look at OUTER top edge of headlight, and undo the screw you see there.
Now PULL the sidelight forwards: it's mounted on a ball and socket type thingy, so try to pull STRAIGHT forwards, and be prepared to pull hard. Try not to snap the ball off: don't worry if you do, I did, and mine has been repaired with superglue, and taken off/replaced a few times now with no ill effect. It's probably a good idea to smear a little grease/waxoyl on the ball before remounting.
The bulb comes out by gently twisting it's holder, then simply pull the bulb out, and replace with new: they are W5W, any car shop should have 'em.
Replacement consists of putting the light in position, with ball against socket, line it up square, and rap it sharply inwards with heel of hand. Then replace screw, and you're done!!

you need to pull the sidelight out first. There is 1 screw on the slampanel. I cant remember exactly where as its a while since I've changed mine, but there is only 1 screw. You then need to pull the sidelight forewards but it will be very tight. There is a lug on the body of the sidelight which points back down the car so you have to pull the light towards you, dont try to twist it. It is a bit of a struggle.

The above applies to MY99. If yours is earlier it may be different, not sure.
