I fitted mine today although i am unsure i have done it correctly.
Would anyone like to confirm which end (front or back) the slightly shorter springs go and vice versa for the slightly longer (more uniform ones).
I did fronts first using the (shorter) Eibach springs that look identical to the OE ones. No problems, i hope.
Things got confusing when i got to the back. The only way i could get the (longer) Eibachs to sit in the spring cups correctly was to fit them with the 'tighter' coils towards the bottom. I had always assumed with progressive springs the more closely wound coils should be at the top? The writing is the correct way up so assume this is how they are meant to sit? Would just like confirmation from someone if possible?
I am having doubts at present as the ride height at the back end of the car doesn't seem to have dropped as significantly as the front, this coupled with my head telling me the longer springs should be at the front where the engine etc is...
Also, the four springs that came off the car were largely similar so this also leads me to think the longer Eibachs may fit the front struts ok, compounding my confusion...
I feel daft for starting this thread but it would be great if someone could put my mind at rest or tell me otherwise?
