lol @ Pete. What future are you talking about? Maybe when rogue boro fans nuke the rest of the UK meaning that boro are the only football team to survive and therefore the best :D

A Fantastic display yesterday, it keeps it interesting for Wednesday, expect Wenger and Fergie, probably Bergkamp and Pires as well to go into overdrive with the bull5hit mind games.

Pete you should be grateful Utd have stuffed the mags 5-1 and 6-2 this season, thats what dreams are made of for the likes of Boro ;)

I think i'll be leaving the Scoob at home when I go to the pub on Wednesday :D I'll need a lot of booze one way or the other !!

1/4 of the league goals conceeded by Newcastle this season have been to one team...

I LOVE the geordies! :)

Just like ManYu fans love the Officials? They were singing that they loved the Linesman yesterday, after the first 2 goals. Even they saw they were Offside. I certainly did - right in front of me.

Yesterday was one of those games - bit like when we won 5-0...

Solskjaers goal (1st goal) was no way offside - it was a beatifully timed run that caught your defense out badly - the ref did a blinding job to not call it offside as most people on first viewing thought it was offside (me included).

Just calling it the way I saw it and most of the crowd, including ManYu fans... (and it was RIGHT in front of me).

The replay on TV shows quite clearly that OGS was onside. If you saw him as being off, you saw it wrong.

Yes. Have you seen the replay?

Toonman1
13 April 2003, 16:32
No, but TV often doesn't show the full picture, and neither is it always conclusive. I know what I saw. End of story as far as I'm concerned. If you read the thread I started, you'll know I'm far from happy with NUFC's performance, so I'm not trying to defend them.

I suggest you wait 'till you see it before making any conclusive statements.

It IS conclusive.
He was onside.
You are wrong.
End of story.

He was a mile and a half onside, the run was timed perfectly..

Toonman - TV is far more conclusive than seeing it first hand at a match. Unless you were sat dead level with the line of play (as the refs assistant should be) then there is no way to accurately tell if someone is offside or not - other than watching the reply on TV. Watch the goal on TV then come back here and tell us all you still think it was OS!

Maybe a foot and a half....

the TV replay shows he was actually behind the defender, he wasn't even level. Linesman called it right!

The Toon were awful yesterday. Gave up after conceding the first goal, which looked a mile offside from where I was sitting. Granted, have not seen any replays but there is no excuse for the 5 others. Missing Speed a lot and need a midfield general. Still in the running for the Champions League, not like the Smoggies, and the Mackems went down so every cloud.......

Listen to them, all history, all finished, all forgotten!!

The future is Red the Future is BORO!!

Thrashed both Man Utd AND Newcastle - can't say fairer than that!!

Live in your little closed world of 'Has beens' - I am living the REAL world, the ONE North East Force in football - BORO!!

Pete,

Good luck to you and your team.
However, refering to Man Utd and Arsenal (I assume you were refering to at least one of those in your "all history, all finished, all forgotten!!" comment) is a little premature. Or immature. Or both. :D

On the evidence of this season, I would expect both teams, and Newcastle, to still be above 'boro at the end of next season.

Ok, you're right about Newcastle having a very poor game, against an on form Man U, we deserved to get beat. But just remind me where the "Mighty" boro are in the league!? - All together now..... 9th! A full 15 points behind the toon! lol
